Cookie Play for verb tense and pronoun practice.
The Cookie Play with a mother, boy and girl making cookies together stimulates lots of language and is perfect for targeting verb tenses and pronouns. You can model sentences with varying verb tenses and have children practice using them correctly when describing what is happening in the pictures as you click on them. There are also opportunities to practice before and after - AFTER the girl pours the flour on the counter, the mother pours the dough out on top of it so it doesn't stick to the counter. The mother gives the children a glass of milk BEFORE they eat their cookies. My speech students really enjoyed this activity!
